The regular NFL season has ended and Baltimore ravens finished their season with a record of 9-7. The Baltimore’s team has had a good season but not good enough to make it to the playoffs. The team ended 7th in the AFC conference with 7-5 and a 3-3 record in the division. The ravens were for the most part carried by their defense, the defense had a total of 41 sacks compare to all their opponents who had 27 sacks. The numbers fumble of the ravens are higher than any opponents they had 10 fumbles while the Baltimore’s performed up to 16 fumbles total.
These numbers are outstanding stats for the 2012 super bowl winner but the team have hard time to impose them self as the best team of the best team of the AFC. The defense could not be as great as there are without C.J Mosley| LB who had 2 Int, 3 Fumb and 132 Tkl as Terrell Suggs| OLB who had the highest sack average of 11.0, 49 Tkl and 4 Forced Fumble and Matt Judon| OLB with 60 Tkl, 8.0 Sks, 2 Forced Fumble .These players are the ones that carried the defense during that 2017 season.
Even though the defense had outstanding numbers, the offense has suffered this season with a very average quarterback. Joe Flacco is not an elite QB and it has an effect on the team overall productivity. The team was ranked 27 out of 32 team on the NFL team total offense statistics, meanwhile the defense is spotted at the 7 Th place total defense statistics by Fox Sports. The Baltimore ravens offensive statistics are way to low than what the Redskins statistics and Joe Flacco is ranked at the 23 Th place out of 30 according to the ESPN Quarterback rankings.
Despite having a season with difficulties the ravens had players that stood out and they need to be recognized.
